It’s no secret that we like to explore an area through its food. We learned that there’s a small cafe called Parson Jack’s near our apartment that makes its own corned beef. It’s also puppy-friendly, though there weren’t any furry friends there when we visited (possibly because it was pouring rain and wet dog is just not fun for the owner or the dog).
Anyway, we headed over to Parson Jack’s for some lunch grub. Louisa had the Reuben with fries, and Tony tried a few of the wings. The Reuben was huge and very good – tender lean corned beef, dressing, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese fried between thick-cut marbled rye bread. The chips were good as well. The wings were very good – generously sized, with good Teriyaki and dry rub.
