Why this driver’s CDL should be revoked. Not to mention his regular license.

This morning’s commute was a true joy. Between 36 being closed (despite the fact that an accident happened in the opposite direction from which we were going), 45 minutes on Wadsworth, and another accident on Hampden, rush hour turned into rush hour and then some.

Apparently a tractor trailer carrying a crane hit a bridge. The bridge is fine, but the crane fell off the truck. Which begs the question: exactly how securely was the crane fastened to the truck in the first place? Not to mention how a driver hit the side of a bridge. We’re not talking about deer or turkey here – bridges don’t go running or flying across the road, they tend to be pretty stationary. And it took 3 hours for the crane to be moved off the road. 3 hours. A little excessive, hum? Yes, I’m slightly bitter, though coffee is beginning to kick in. We hope everyone else had a better morning commute, and that no rogue construction equipment was blocking your way.
